Youtube fragments

by Flashopen

We have all already seen the parameters used by Youtube when we share a hyperlink to a video or when we embed it into a web-page.

Unfortunately only a few of these parameters can be set directly through the tiny interface provided in the video page.  All other parameters, and some are quite useful, must be set manually.

As an example, I will show how to share a fragment of a video by using the parameters start and end. I'm going to hide the controls as well, so we can't really get to know that we are only watching to a fragment. We set the parameter rel with the value 0 (null) so when the video finishes we won't see the suggestions to Youtube related video's. This parameter can actually be set in the the first checkbox by checking it (rel=1) or not (rel=0).

Therefore, here is the code for the iframe that embeds a video with the respective parameters:

<iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="525" src="" width="700"></iframe>

You also can share the hyperlink by copying the url in src
